About me
Brief Bio
Holder of a Physical Education and Sport Science bachelor’s degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with “Swimming” as main and “Muscle Strength and Nutrition” as secondary specialization. He holds a master’s degree on “Human Performance and Health”, with specialization on “Sports Coaching”, as well as a doctorate also on “Human Performance and Health” from the School of Physical Education and Sport Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He is a research associate of the Laboratory of Hygiene and Sport Nutrition and member of the Exercise Biochemistry Research Group at the School of Physical Education and Sport Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research focuses on the biochemical evaluation of exercise and monitoring of training, on health and performance indices of athletes, on sport nutrition and more. This research has yielded publications in peer-reviewed international journals as well as oral presentations in scientific congresses. Additionally, he is head swimming coach of competitive swimmers and course director of Health and Fitness Professional diploma at the Studio One Greek Institute of Fitness in Thessaloniki.
He is accredited as an “Exercise Biochemist” from the Hellenic Society of Biochemistry and Physiology of Exercise.
He has received scholarships of excellent performance during his undergraduate and post-graduate studies.
He is a research associate of the Laboratory of Hygiene and Sport Nutrition
He has made several invited lectures on exercise biochemistry and nutrition in conferences and seminars.
